Nothing is sent without your consent — and you can check

Firelog runs entirely inside your browser. The parsing, the reconciliation and the charts all happen on your own machine, so reading your statements sends nothing anywhere.

You do not have to take that on trust. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the app. Load a statement. Click every screen. Not one request. That is a stronger promise than a privacy policy, because you can verify it in ten seconds without believing a word we say — and anything that ever does leave your device is something you asked for, one file at a time.

What it does

Reads the PDFs you already download from internet banking — no screen-scraping, no bank passwords, no read-only access tokens.
Checks the arithmetic. Every statement has to reconcile against its own totals and the balance it carries forward. If a transaction is missed or double-counted, you are told — not quietly given a wrong number.
Matches transfers between your own accounts so moving money between your own pockets does not look like spending.
Groups spending by who you actually paid, across the different names the same merchant uses on different banks.

If Firelog does not recognise a statement, it says so rather than guessing, and offers to send that one file — nothing else — so the format can be added. Refusing is always fine; the rest of your statements still work.

What it is not

Not a budgeting app that nags you. Not connected to your bank. Not a place your data is stored, because there is no place. It reads statements and tells you the truth about them.
