Yes, and you can check rather than believe us. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, then import a statement and click around. Nothing is sent.
The parsing runs in your browser as WebAssembly, and the results are written to your browser's private storage for this site. The only time anything leaves is if a statement fails to parse and you deliberately choose to send that one file — described in the privacy notice.
Today: DBS / POSB (savings, One Account, Stash, PayLah, credit cards), UOB (Stash, One Card), and Citibank (Cash Back card). OCBC is not supported yet and is the most requested addition.
The list grows from statements people share when a format fails. That is the whole reason the sharing option exists.
Not directly — most Singapore banks email statements locked with your NRIC or date of birth, and Firelog cannot read a locked PDF. Open it with the password, save or print an unlocked copy, and import that copy.
Where you can, download the statement from internet banking instead of using the emailed copy. Those are usually unlocked and are the exact files Firelog is built for.
Firelog tells you which of these happened, and each has a different fix:
Only the last two are offered for sharing, because only those two teach the parser anything.
Your data is gone, and we cannot restore it. There is no copy on our side — that is the point of the design, and this is its one real cost.
Use the Download backup button. It is also how you move your data to another computer.
No. There is nothing to sign up for, no password, and no email required. That is also why there is nothing for us to leak.
Firelog is free during its beta. Paid features are planned; prices will be published before they apply to anyone, and using it now does not start costing you money without you choosing. See the terms.
A current Chromium browser — Chrome or Edge. Firelog needs browser features for private local storage and safe locking that not every browser provides yet. If yours cannot run it, the app says so rather than misbehaving quietly.
It works on a phone, though the wide transaction and account tables are cramped on a small screen and scroll sideways within their cards. A laptop is the better experience today.
No — and it never will. No login, no password, no read-only access token, no aggregation service. It reads PDFs you have already downloaded, and it does not hold or move money.
Every statement is reconciled against the totals and the carried-forward balance printed on it. If a transaction were missed or double-counted, the arithmetic would not agree — and Firelog tells you instead of quietly showing a wrong number.
That is a real check, not a guarantee. Categories in particular are guesses you can correct. Before relying on anything here for tax, a loan, or a dispute, check it against your statements and your bank's own records. Firelog is not financial advice.
It is encrypted in your browser before it is sent, to a key our hosting provider does not have. It sits there about five minutes before an automated job moves it to a machine in Singapore and deletes it from the provider, and it is deleted entirely within 90 days. Full detail in the privacy notice.
Yes. When you share, Firelog shows you a reference like

Because there are no accounts, that reference is how we know the request is yours. Without it, and without an email address you gave us at the time, we may not be able to tell which upload was yours — see the privacy notice. Everything is deleted within 90 days either way.
Yes — every transaction is listed and filterable, and anything Firelog was unsure about is collected in the Review screen rather than hidden. Categories can be corrected with rules that apply to every matching transaction at once.
